Jim Buttress, the renowned horticulturalist and head RHS judge, will be giving a free gardening talk at Great Alne Park. Jim will discuss how to make the most of a small garden space, giving tips for how to design and maintain a patio or balcony and create containers and hanging baskets. He’ll also talk about his illustrious gardening career and there’ll be Q&A to ask any gardening questions.

11.00am – Register in reception area. Coffee/Tea and Pastries to be served.

11.20am – Jim will do a short intro about himself and his work, then demonstrate how to create a hanging basket/container planter.

12.00pm – Jim will do Q&A session with guests and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions and tips.

12.30pm – Jim will award prizes for resident competition winners.

12.45pm – Sandwiches served.

12.45pm – Jim will judge the village in bloom display and any employee pictures of their own gardens.

1.00pm – Village tours to commence and incorporate route that showcases residents gardens and competition winners.

2.00pm – End of the event.
