Discounted Market Sales Units Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the criteria of a “Qualifying Person” to be eligible to occupy the Discounted Market Sales Units (DMSUs).

A “Qualifying Person” typically means a person who is over 65 and receives a minimum of 1½ hours of care and/or support per week and is in need of affordable housing.*

*The "Need for Affordable Housing" is determined by both the developer and the Council based on the individual’s future care needs.

Price Limit

DMSUs must be sold at a price that does not exceed 75% of the local market value for each unit. This price is verified through a restriction on the title of the unit, requiring Council certification that the sale price does not exceed 75% of the market value.

The Discounted Market Sale Units are selected units only at Austin Heath Village.
