Discounted Market Sales Units Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the criteria of a “Qualifying Person” to be eligible to occupy the Discounted Market Sales Units (DMSUs).

A “Qualifying Person” typically means a person who is over 65 and receives a minimum of 1½ hours of care and/or support per week and is in need of affordable housing.

The "Need for Affordable Housing" is determined by both the developer and the Council based on the individual’s future care needs.

Price Limit

DMSUs must be sold at a price that does not exceed 75% of the local market value for each unit. This price is verified through a restriction on the title of the unit, requiring Council certification that the sale price does not exceed 75% of the market value.

The Discounted Market Sale Units are selected units only at Austin Heath Village.
