A jam-packed series of events that tells you everything you need to know about enjoying the years of your life...

Just like starting university, retirement marks a new lease of life for many with a chance to meet new friends, immersive yourself in new surroundings and take up hobbies.  We will be hosting a jam-packed ‘Re-Fresher Week’ with an incredible series of events which will showcase everything on offer at the village and provide an insight into the Inspired way of life.

Tuesday 11:30am – 4:30pm

Tuesday will mark the start of an incredible week with a ‘Refreshers Fayre’ open day with a very special Q&A and book signing from newsreader and journalist Trevor McDonald OBE. The village feel will be in full swing with local stalls, live music, classic cars, entertainment, afternoon tea and a gardening demo from RHS Judge Jim Buttress.  

Wednesday 1:00pm – 6:00pm

On Wednesday, we will be joined by cricket legend, Henry Blofeld, for a friendly game of cricket just down the road at Leeds & Broomfield Cricket Club. Henry will then be joining us back at the village for live music, Pimms and a hog roast followed by strawberries and cream. Henry will also be our guest speaker for the evening, sharing some tales from his career as well as handing out awards from the match earlier in the day.

Thursday 12:00pm – 4:00pm

On Thursday we will be hosting a spectacular lunch with Gloria Hunniford, who as one of Britain's best-known TV and radio personalities requires little introduction. Join us for an afternoon to remember as we showcase some of the incredible food that will be on offer at Ledian Gardens, to the backdrop of a string trio. Gloria will also be chatting with Inspired Villages’ Director, James Cobb, for an interesting Q&A on everything from staying young at heart and making the most of retirement to anecdotes from her life. 

 

Tours will be available throughout the week and the events are the perfect chance to explore the village centre and view our beautiful show apartments at Ledian Gardens.
