Royal Wedding Garden Party

Celebrate in style with us, as we commemorate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a royal party to remember!

On Saturday 19 May Gifford Lea is hosting their own royal wedding party from 11am. The event is open to all interested to attend.

The royal wedding will be shown live on a big outdoor screen, and we’ll be throwing a classic royal street party style event in the garden, with afternoon tea and Pimms served to all.

We’ll also be joined by The Great British Bake Off star, Howard Middleton – we’ll be holding a bake off which Howard will judge, so why not show off your baking skills by taking part in the competition and bring along your best royal wedding themed cake?

Starring in the fourth series of the show, Howard was a firm favourite and became well-known for the infamous ‘curstardgate’ incident. Since the show, Howard has appeared as a panel contestant on Bake Off’s spin-off programme, ‘An Extra Slice’, written his first book, ‘Delicious Gluten Free Baking’, and now regularly demonstrates at food shows and festivals across the country. 

The cake competition will have an adult and a junior category, with the junior champion winning tickets to Legoland Windsor and the adult champion Windsor Castle tickets. Both prizes include an overnight stay at these attractions. To enter please just bring your cake on the day.

There’ll also be games and a special commemorative royal wedding ice cream served by Cheshire Farm Real Dairy, as well as soft drinks for children.
