It was great to meet you recently at Anthropy 23 and introduce you
to Inspired Villages!
You can hear more about our story and our impact in these two recent publications.
Did you hear Inspired residents engaged in our wellbeing programme reduce their biological age by 8.8 years on average?
Although you may not be an Inspired resident, there’s things you can do to improve your biological age like our residents are doing every day. Check out these tips to live younger for longer.
1) Move more
Physical activity can help you to maintain a healthy weight. Being active doesn’t have to mean hours at the gym: you can find ways to fit more activity into your daily life. For example, try getting off the bus one stop early on the way home from work, and walking.

2) Sleep tight
Most adults need 7 or more hours of good-quality sleep each night.
Getting enough sleep has many benefits including lowering your risk of serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease, while reducing stress and improving your mood.
3) Don’t be salty
Even if you don’t add salt to your food, you may still be eating too much. Eating too much salt can raise your blood pressure. Use food labels to help you cut down.

4) Fancy a pint?
Of water that is! Try to drink about six to eight glasses of water (or other fluids) a day to prevent dehydration. But remember when the weather is warm or when we get active, we may need more.
5) Sounds like a plan!
Make some plans with friends or family. Social isolation significantly increases a person’s risk of premature death from all causes, a risk that may rival those of smoking, obesity, and physical inactivity. So, make some plans today!
