New village manager appointed at Durrants retirement village

Durrants, a later living community in Faygate, West Sussex, has appointed Amanda Heath as its new village manager.

Amanda joins the team with over 30 years’ of experience working in the hospitality industry. Having held hospitality roles in London, the Channel Islands and the USA, as well as owning and operating three successful restaurants for nearly 20 years’, Amanda has vast knowledge of the industry.

Operated by later living provider Inspired Villages, Durrants is set in an idyllic location amongst 30 acres of private parkland with its own lake. The village is home to 171 exquisite two-and three-bedroom cottages and spacious two-bedroom apartments, with central facilities, including a gym, relaxation pool, lake pavilion, croquet lawn and library.

As village manager, Amanda aims to inspire her team and has exciting plans in the pipeline for the village and restaurant.

Amanda comments: “My business experience has provided me many joys but also came with its own challenges. These strengthened my knowledge of daily customer service and financial understandings of a business.

“The time has come where I’m ready to experience a better work/life balance and a new challenge. Inspired Villages offered me this opportunity and with the beautiful village surroundings and company values it was an easy decision to be a part of the journey. “Having already experienced retirement villages whilst living in the USA, as I had relatives who lived in one, I feel very privileged to be part of the ever-growing Inspired Villages and team.”
