A planning application was submitted to South Cambridgeshire Council in April 2023 for an Integrated Retirement Community of up to 200 units of specialist accommodation for older people. Location
The site
The site is located at Land South of Branch Road, Comberton. The site is near the village centre and a range of facilities and sits outside of the local conservation areas.
The project team have started to undertake the technical and environmental surveys of the site, which includes ecology, landscape and drainage surveys, in order to understand the characteristics of the site to ensure that the development takes into account any technical constraints.
The design approach places a strong focus on ensuring sustainable and future-proof development, which will support the need for high-quality accomodation for older people in the area.
