Work begins on £50m retirement village in Tattenhall
Work has begun on a £50m purpose-built retirement village in Tattenhall that will offer the over 65s an active lifestyle.
New images show for the first time how the initial phase of 48 apartments will look at the Inspired Villages development, of which the first apartments are expected to be ready for residents in spring 2016.
All 162 apartments, penthouses and other on-site facilities will be completed by 2018.
The scheme offers the over 65s exclusive one and two-bedroom homes, a wide variety of social and leisure activities and a range of care packages. When completed, the new village centre will include a wellness spa and relaxation pool, gym, shops, restaurants, bowling green, community space and on-site care services.
James Cobb, Sales and Marketing Director of Inspired Villages, said: “With people in Cheshire now living longer, healthier and more active lives, many see retirement as a chance to enjoy new hobbies, experiences and activities.
'Idyllic surroundings'
“Inspired Villages in Tattenhall has been designed to provide homes in idyllic surroundings with easy access to a range of facilities, social activities and hotel-style services. Whether residents need on-going dedicated care or one-off support services, the village will have safe and secure accommodation to suit all requirements.
“We’ve been planning this development for a number of years now, so we’re excited to be starting on the site and giving the over 65s in the area a highly attractive retirement option that promotes independent living, choice and flexibility,” he added.
Inspired Villages in Tattenhall provides three types of accommodation to meet the different lifestyle requirements of residents. Prices for a two-bed apartment in phase one range from £247,000 to £557,000.
